Screaming duende

The Helsinki Flamenco Bienal offers a rare opportunity to experience the miniature work Screaming Duende by Israel Galván and Male Choir Huutajat. In the work the legendary flamenco dancer will meet the world-famous Finnish choir in the spirit of Federico García Lorca’s concept of duende. García Lorca describes duende as a tragedy-inspired ecstasy, a poetic, and uncontrollable emotional state.
