Israel Galván’s repertoire course for professionals is a course-based glimpse into the artistic thinking and movement language of the great innovator of flamenco. There are also listening student places available for the course for others interested in Galván’s work.
Charismatic flamenco dancer Mariana Collado’s Flamenco on Stage dance courses for intermediate and advanced levels explore the connection between dance and singing and offer perspectives on performance. The genre covered at the intermediate level is soleá por bulerías, and at the advanced level cantiñas.

This four-day repertoire course offers a unique opportunity to glimpse into the artistic thinking and physical language of flamenco’s great pioneer and avant-gardist. Under Galván’s guidance, the course delves into the material familiar from his works. The course provides a practical experience of how flamenco is redefined and how different performative aspects come together to create a new expression that challenges the traditional forms of flamenco.
The course is for flamenco dance professionals. A limited number of listening student spots are available for others interested in the course and Israel Galván's work.

Mariana Collado’s Flamenco on stage dance courses for intermediate and advanced levels
The charismatic flamenco artist Mariana Collado’s Flamenco on Stage dance courses delve into the connection between dance (el baile) and singing (el cante) and provide perspectives on performing. The courses involve building choreography that is applied in relation to the singing and personal expression. The goal is to learn to read the intentions of the cante and to respond to them using the learned movement and rhythmic material. The courses also include exercises that strengthen dance technique and expression, opening pathways for recognizing one’s own talent and unique expression within the framework of the flamenco palo in question.
The intermediate level is intended for adults and young people who have been practicing flamenco for several years. The style to be worked on is soleá por bulerías.
The advanced level is intended for adults and young people who have been actively and consistently training flamenco. The style to be worked on is cantiñas.

The courses are accompanied by a Spanish guitarist Alfonso Acosta.

Guitar course
Rafael Rodriguez, who is performing at the Helsinki Flamenco Bienal festival, will hold a flamenco guitar course for guitarists during his visit. Rodriguez is a master of the traditional flamenco guitar and in his lessons you can focus on the basics and harmonies. His life's work includes countless experiences with the flamenco guitar, whether it was accompanying, soloing or composing. In the course, we delve into the world of flamenco guitar through the zambra style, which is one of his special areas, but according to the wishes of the students, material from different subjects will be included. You can also participate in the course as a listening student. In this case, the Course price is slightly cheaper, but you cannot participate in the lesson by asking questions, playing the guitar or being otherwise active. This is also a great way to get to know Rafael's teaching and material. A unique opportunity to come and deepen your flamenco guitar skills or start getting to know a new instrument!

We'll provide mics (DPA & Audio Technica) for the tests, but you can bring your own mics too. Connected with XLR and normal plug cables. Amps provide phantom power if needed. There will be a short presentation and then you'll have a chance to test the amps by yourself. Please bring your own guitar if you want, but you can also play the instruments we provide.
